So my teacher for AP Physics, love him as much as we all do is basically silly and doesn't actually teach us anything so half the time I do other homework, half the time i just hide in the cabinet and sleep. I have a fairly solid hold of mechanics but all other concepts I basically know absolutely nothing. My question is, am I completely out of time (AP test is second week of May I believe) and what can I do to start preparing for this exam?

I’m actually in the same situation. My teacher is pretty worthless so far outside of mechanics. I probably could have been reading all year but I was lazy. Anyway, can’t worry about that now. I figured my options are:

A) Start reading through my textbook. Seems very long and difficult to understand

B) Start going through my Princeton Review book. Haven’t looked at it yet but may be too ‘reviewy’ if I don’t even understand the material

C) Watch Khan Academy videos. Would be easy to understand but can’t really work problems

I’ve got the same exact issue for AP chem. Khan Academy is beyond awesome, but not a sufficient resource for AP exam studying by itself. I’m plowing through my chem textbook. That said, with physics, you may be able to scrape by with an intense reading of the review book (especially considering PR is light to begin with), then a whole bunch of practice free response and mc online if you can find it.

I was in the same situation last year. My Physics B teacher was a 1st year teacher in which we were basically “guinea pigs”. The textbook we had was very hard to understand therefore making it kind of unreliable. I used the Princeton Review book to strengthen my understanding in Physics B and I got a 4 on the exam. The exam is pretty hard though. I was actually doubting if I got a 3 on it but I guess the curve is pretty generous.
