AP Physics B-Textbook Recommendations

<p>What text do you recommend I buy to self-study for the B exam next spring?</p>

<p>Self-study buddies :slight_smile: haha? Everyone I’ve talked has recommended simply using a prep book but with physics it might be diff</p>

<p>My textbook recommendation for Physics B is Physics by Cutnell and Johnson. Moreover, buy an answer book for this since you need to do those concept questions to help you out with the MC and you need the answers for the even questions (the odd questions are not enough).</p>

<p>Well, the student manual doesn’t have all the answers. So, I would suggest the instructor manual then, but I am unable to find it on Amazon. </p>

<p>However, I was able to find the answers online though, so I will try to find the website then.</p>

<p>Oh yeah, I also heard that Physics: Principles with Application by Giancoli is a good textbook. So, this is another textbook that might be considered for self-studying.</p>

<p>Although these are answers to the fourth edition book’s questions, the questions are still the same in my 7th edition book, but the ordering of the questions are different compare to the 4th edition’s.</p>

<p>For the problems, since every editions change the wording and ordering of the problems, looking for the answers will be a wasteful effort. If you bought yourself the textbook I recommend and you want to know the answers to the even problems, usually what I would do is type the excerpt of the problem on google or yahoo and search, which would lead me to the answers.</p>

<p>I forgot to mention my recommendation for a prep book for physics. Princeton Review would be recommended for this AP exam since the MC questions are similar to the AP exam’s questions.</p>
