AP Physics C FRQ

So I’m pretty scared about my AP Physics C Mech exam, especially the FRQ because I find them incredibly difficult sometimes and probably impossible to do in some instances. So for preparation I did the 2012 #1 FRQ and my method was completely different from the solution manual and I still got the same answers. I showed every step and detail of my work that led me to my final answer but I didn’t follow the steps on CollegeBoard, so do I still get all the points?

Also does anyone have any tips on how to improve on the FRQ, because I understand the concepts very well but I just struggle to figure out which one is the best method to use or how to go about the problem. (Any review books other than Princeton which I already have or any recommendations is appreciated)

If the physics is correct and the results are correct then you will receive full points regardless of whether or not it was the generic solution.

The only way to get better at free response is to try them then go over the solution until you understand what they were doing and why and if you still don’t understand walk through them with your teacher.

Ok thank you! And I have been practicing FRQ’s and I have been seeing some improvement so thanks for the advice!
