I'm not doing too well in this class, I've spent hours studying and have looked through various prep books, but for some reason I'm having trouble applying the concepts. Any book suggestions or suggestions in general? For those who have used the halliday resnick AP physics C book, which part of the book was particularly helpful for you? any online resources?

Thank you very much!

i know exactly how you feel. i took AP Physics C last year and was not doing very good and i was also having trouble applying the concepts. mainly i blame this on my teacher, he did not really know how to teach - i would understand the concepts but he would not work out problems until the day before the test. so i decided to buy the princeton review for AP Physics B & C Exams and found that the book was much helpful than he was because it applied the concepts immediately after they were presented. my class used a textbook by the same author - halliday - i am not sure if it is the same one but a great online resource is cramster.com. in there you just find the book you are looking for then it allows you to view the worked out solutions of problems found in the book. i mainly used these two methods - cramster and princeton to study for the class and the AP test and i ended up getting a 3 in Mech. and a 4 in E&M
hope this helps

Hey, I suggest that u use the Barron's Physics C Books, last year, I used this book to self-study both of Physics C and got two 5, I read the book from head to the end and did every question very carefully.
Frankly say, both of the Exams need u have the strong background in Calculus that I hope u can grasp the ability to use Calculus-way for solving most of the Free Respond questions, it'll save ur lots of time during the Exams.

ps. if u need help, please contact me via E-mails.

FWIW, I agree completely with TemujinVanGeng's post above about Barron's (although I may not have practiced every problem as meticulously). It's definitely a top choice prep book with an excellent focus on concept.

I can't speak for Barron's, but I know for a fact PR's APC book has helped me in volumes. My teacher never taught us anything, and expected us to work straight out of our (badly-written) textbook. I just bought the PR book last week, and I feel instantly up to speed with what we've been doing.
