Hey,
I am going to take physics over the summer next year and then go to AP Physics C: Mechanics. I know the class is Calculus based, so I need to know which level of Calculus will best support it next year. Since I am in Math Analysis (Accelerated PreCalculus), as a sophomore, I have the option to take Calculus BC or Calculus AB. I have a B in Math as of now, but it will go up. Also, I have A+'s in both AP Chemistry and AP Biology as of now. Additionally, what topics in the summer concerning Calculus should I study for both AP Physics C as well as the Calculus course I will be taking concurrently?
Hello, I suppose if you are taking BC next year you could get a book to fill the gaps, and cover up any knowledge you might not know. A lot of people will recommend Barron’s or some other AP prep text, but I really like the Art of Problem Solving’s Calculus. It is pretty rigorous, but very rewarding. I’m breezing through Calc AB, and I haven’t truly completed the text. The material is kinda archaic but just readable enough. AFAIK for Physics C(hearsay), you should be fine with physics, and the calculus knowledge
