AP Physics C Mechanics Problem

One person with mass M
and an object with mass m

there's a rope attached between the person and the object

if the person and the object are on a friction-less surface, and the person pulls on the rope, how far will the person go, and how far will the object go? (before they eventually meet together)

m moves the distance of Mx length/(m+M) and person moves m x length /(m+M) where length being the length of the rope. because m/M is the ratio of their accelerations.m+M is their total mass. rough explanation.
