AP Physics C Mechanics

Heard the test isn't terrible difficult (in other words, easy), true, more or less? For multiple choice anyway, I know the free-response is hell.

its pretty much a massacre. not even worth studying for.

ROFFLE, thanks for the quick laugh.

no seriously. i know that even if i study like hell, i wont pass, so i decided why waste my time on this worthless test when i can go to the beach or see a movie?

The free response is VERY VERY hard. It deals with seeing things and grasping the whole picture quickly, which can get really hard with all the stuff they put in the problems. There's also a bad rap with Physics C just because it's Physics C- it even SOUNDS hard. If you study enough, and practice in your analytical skills, you can do well. MC's aren't that bad.

I'm quite worried....I'm too perceptive and I usually miss all those SUBTLE details T______T

I'm hoping MC will help! FR....I just want to get by

I dread MC 3, Collegeboard or ETS seems to wrap every concept into one and then make you graph it, makes me nervous as ****.

MC though if you take your time it looks doable, I took a practice test the other day and got a high 3 low 4, I reviewed the work and some questions are pathetic, e.g: if you have 10 Joules of PE at the max height, and you go down and have 5 Joules of PE, what KE do you have in a conservative system, pretty silly.

Agh I'm taking this test and I'm not even going to worry about it. I need to get a 4 to get college credit at BU, which I know I won't be able to get even with the huge curve that this test has

Think of it this way, at least you aren't then being humiliated by the E&M test afterwards. I can see how this will go.

MEchanics and E&M are monsters. i was lucky i even got a 3 in one of them

Mechanics MC is a joke. The questions dont even require much logic. The MC are harder but are very doable especially if your course let you figure out stuff for yourself and gave good test questions. I would fear E&M much more than mechanics.

why is the pass rate for both C tests so high then??

Because there's a huuuuge curve.
