I'm planning on taking the AP Mechanics test in a few weeks. I have been taking physics this year based on mechanics, though the AP test is optional and so the course does not prepare for it. There are a few chapters we did not cover that I need to study on my own, and overall the class was pretty easy and didn't really prepare many for the test. I have heard from some that the AP test is easy, and from several that it is really hard. Should I study a lot to prepare for it? About how hard is it to get a 5? Also, is there a good study guide that can be recommended? Thanks.

Anyone taken it?

Well I’m taking it this year too. I’m kind of freaked out by it

Yeah, I looked at some sample problems recently and they look really hard. Or at least we haven’t done much like them at all in my class.
