AP Physics C post-exam thoughts.

So what did you guy's think of the exam this year?

Hella hard

F the skier

I thought that the mechanics MC was very easy-- the FR was medium

the E&M was extremely easy both the MC and the FR.

Mechanics MC - quite easy, though I didn’t get past question 25
FRQ - first one I left blank… blanked out…
second and third were quite easy

omg. I have done the last 10 years of frq mechanics questions, and this was, BY FAR the hardest…

Questions 2 and 3 were insane. (for me anyway)

Mechanics MC - easy, but too much integral(therefore, lack of time). solved all but 1.
FRQ - I almost failed #3, but except for that, the test was ok.
I used to love calculus, but now, I only like derivative and limits after seeing so many integrals on the test.

ohhhhh… i didn’t know we had to actually DO the integral… ■■■

I just got out - only took Mechanics. My thoughts:

Multiple choice - not bad at all, BUT I COULD NOT CONCENTRATE AT ALL! It was lunch time, and where we take the exam it was so noisy during the multiple choice part. I would look at the words of a question, realize I wasn’t actually reading the problem, then went back and actually read through it. I didn’t even get to attempt the last one because I was moving at such a slow pace due to the lack of concentration. I also realized I made one horrible mistake on a question right after I turned it in - I hate it when that happens!

Free Response - I disagree with whoever said it was the hardest in the last ten years (I too worked the last ten years’ worth of free response and there were at least three years I thought that were harder than 2010). It did not seem too tricky to me. In fact, I think it had a good mix of questions in that there weren’t any that were jokingly easy while there weren’t any where I just left it blank due to it being impossible. I just remember having to write out a lot more work than I have in the past.

Overall, I think I did pretty well, considering once again that I could not focus during the MC (but during the FR, it was the EXACT opposite! Weird how that works). I left a few blank, and probably made more than one stupid mistake on MC, and felt like I got most of the FR right.

I did about 85% of the stuff on both tests and I think that I got most of it right. One the free response, my writing was kind of messy, I had to use arrows to say “look here.”

MCs are okay…the FRQs are full of Calculus…I hate it

I got at most a 3.

The MC was a joke. How many did you guys answer?

FRQ destroyed me.

^About a quarter of the question:/

Mechanics was easy-ish. Probably a 5.

E&M was ridiculously easy. Definitely a 5.

Hey guys, If I got 24/35 on the Mech MC (6 omit, 4 wrong) and I answered about 2/3 of the Mech FRQs correctly, is that a 5?

What about 21/35 E&M MC (7 omit, 6 wrong) and 3/4 of the E&M FRQs right?

Also, I was completely confused on the E&M FRQ as I was used to doing those problems with a given linear charge density. And how to find the potential before finding E…

On mechanics:

MC - I answered 25, I may have missed a couple.

FRQ - 2 wasn’t too bad. 3 was mediocre. 1 made me want to cry.

Hopefully the cut scores will be a lot lower this year. . .

Can anyone tell me how we get to where College Board posts the FRQs? I know they wont be up until Wednesday, but I don’t know how to get them.

Pretty hard Mechanics.
MC were medium at the least, and FRQ were pretty frikkin hard…
