I am currently taking AP Physics C at my school, but my class only covers the mechanical portion of the course, and therefore we are only prepared to take the AP Physics mech exam. How difficult would it be to self study for the electricity and magnetism portion of the exam?

I took a look at the Kaplan’s book and there are 3 parts to cover: 1) Electric fields, forces and potentials, 2) Circuits and 3) Magnetic fields and forces. If you have mastered the mechanical physics very well and are good at self study, this should be fairly easy just for the SAT II Physics test purpose. If you can find a tutor or friend to help, one week should be enough. Please remember that Physics = Concept + Math.

Good luck!

what about self studying for the AP Physics EM exam if i’m being prepared in class for the AP Physics mech exam? would that be doable?
