AP Physics C Scores

The colleges I'm looking at accept 4s and 5s for AP Physics C credits. Anyways, it seems that over half of students score 4s or 5s on both parts of the Physics C test. I've also found that you only need to get about half the questions right on each exam to earn a 4. Is it that almost everyone who takes the exams are really smart and that the generous curve is only because the content is so hard, or is it this because physics is simply more lenient?

I'm considering which AP Science course (if any) to take my senior year, namely Bio vs Physics, and am taking multiple factors into consideration.

I would say is both. For physics C being one of the most difficult AP exam, I would think the ones who decided to take it must either be the good students or have worked hard enough to take the challenge. And of course, just as I said, physics C is one of the hardest AP and therefore it has a very generous curve, and if the content is not that hard the curve will be much steeper (and you can see that on physics B).
