AP Physics Exams

I'm taking honors physics, and I want to go into Engineering.
My school does not offer AP physics.

The principal says if I pass the Physics B exam, he will give me AP credit for my honors class.
I plan to take the Physics C exam next year.

What do you suggest, should I take the Physics B exam?
Will I be prepared with just and honors class? How much time does it take to prepare for it?
Are there labs that are required for Physics B (or C for that matter)?

Thanks.

Hm, I'm pretty sure the Physics B and Physics C Mechanics exams start at the same time, so I don't think you'd be able to do that.

However, Physics C is preferred over B for engineering, so I'd go with that (and only that).

There are lab-related questions on the exams, but I don't think labs are required, per se.

no no no, aha. I'm saying I'm taking the Physics C exam NEXT year. I'm completely unprepared for Physics C.

I'm saying, should i bother studying for the B exam when I'll be taking Physics C next year, senior year?

The only advantage of taking AP Physics B is getting +.5 GPA for that subject. I already have three other APs to study for. (Two which I have classes for)

Ohh. Lol, okay. That makes sense.

If you think you can handle the stress of studying for the B exam (and it takes a good amount of effort to memorize and apply those formulae correctly), then you should take it. It would also be a good idea to have the stable foundation in physics the B exam would give you. It would make studying for the C exam a bit easier.

I recommend borrowing a prep book from the library and scanning the topics covered to see if you are familiar with them. If so, then you can choose whether to take it or not.

Sounds good, thanks for the suggestion. I have a prep book actually, my teacher gave it to me. Have you taken the B exam?

Do you need labs?
Was it hard?

Hey guys, I have some questions.

Do you believe I can adequately study for this test (get a 4 or 5) with just the Princeton Review prep book?

If not, what other resources would i need?

Is it bad that i don't have labs? How crucial is this?

Lastly, how hard did you think the exam was?

I don't think so, I would say get a textbook.

I know that half the stuff my class has covered isn't in the review book, but I think that's because my class is crazy.

bump! please answer :X

comeee onnn

how should i study for the exam???
