So I took college level physics (non-calculus based) at the local Community College over the summer and got a B+. Taking this course was the only way my guidance dpt. would let me take AP Physics B. They expected me to just pass and then take the course again at the high school.

But now a few weeks into the course I realize this is so stupid. Basically I'm retaking college physics, which I already did decent in! On top of this the teacher is horrible and enjoys failing everyone (no joke, there were like 2 B's on the last quiz and the rest were F's). He came out of retirement and is teaching for fun so he doesn't even care about our grades or how we do. He doesn't even teach and blabs about random things (like watching the space station cross the night sky-does that have anything to do with Fluids? NO!).

If I drop I dnt think there are any AP's left (I have 5 others). I would take Honors Japanese I lol or a regular course like anatomy.

Basically either way I think I'm screwed. If I take another course I'm afraid it would look like a filler course. If I continue taking the course I think I'll get a bad grade, so colleges will see I did better in college physics than high school physics....><

Drop it. You already have a grade in college level physics, which college adcoms will see (I'm guessing you'll have to send a transcript from the CC). You may want to look into still taking the AP test though, since you've learned all this stuff already.

IMO, I think you should drop it before the exams (the date before you can't drop anymore) because you'll further retain the information. Since you already know most of it just stay in the course and make it act as if it was a spare. If the teacher doesn't teach neither that poses a problem. I would rather drop than to have so much pressure on yourself to do well. He is also adding pressure on you such as due dates for assignments and projects. If you are worried about not being able to take the AP exam, ask the guidance councillor if you could take the exam without taking the course. Just grab an AP physics prep. book and go over it. If you have any questions, find someone who can answer it. There are vast amounts of information on the internet. With enough time and dedication i'm sure your knowledge that you have right now added with a great prep. book and maybe a text book, you can do well on the AP exam.

Anatomy is a great course. It helps you if you are thinking about going into the field of medicine.
