So I'm planning on taking AP Physics C Mechanics my senior year and it's the only AP Physics course my school offers, and I just wanted to know how easy it'd be to self study for the other AP Physics exams while taking AP Physics C Mechanics at school? Thanks!

If you’re just taking the other part of AP Physics C, you can do it You better start now, though! If you’re planning on doing AP Physics 1 and 2 (used to be just B) as well, then I’m not sure you’ll have enough time, as all together you’d be taking 3 years of Physics in just 1.

I mean I’m a freshman right now so I do have time, but thank you!!

In that case, you definitely have enough time xD I recommend starting AP Physics 1 along with normal Physics in high school, because without any prior knowledge, you’ll probably be lost :/

I would only self study for AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism. I don’t think it’s worth your time to do AP Physics 1 & 2 if you’re already going to be taking AP Physics C: Mechanics. People usually either take AP Physics 1 & 2 OR AP Physics C: Mechanics & E&M, there’s no point in mixing because 1 & 2 are algebra-based and the C’s are calculus-based.

Okay thanks, and also @Solarcode would self studying for AP Physics B also be useless if I’ll be doing the C’s? Thanks!

AP Physics B is discontinued after this year, and will be replaced by AP Physics 1 & 2. I see no value in studying for 1 & 2 if you are also studying AP Physics C.

@laughterlines Yeah just do both C’s, forget B if you’re doing both C’s

If 1 and 2 are anything like B, they won’t be overly difficult. Physics B was my first course in physics, and I did not find it difficult.
