Hey guys, I can't decide which of these classes I want to take next year. I got into AP physics last year but decided to take honors first because I hear AP is really hard. I'm doing pretty well in the class so far (93) and we're having a test on vectors and projectile motion on Tuesday. My dilemma is that lately I've been looking into majors dealing with the human body or Spanish (I enjoy spanish as well). Which do you guys think I should take: AP bio or AP physics B? Or I could see if I could do both but that would just make my senior year miserable...

I think you should take AP Biology especially since you’re looking into majors dealing with the human body. There’s a lot of reading involved but it’s a lot easier to understand than some of the concepts in AP physics.

What colleges are you aiming for?

I agree with Lilyrose on this one. If you’re looking to major in something that is related to the human anatomy or something along those lines, then you should choose bio

@BindersOpen, that’s a very good question. I really have no clue yet. I really want to go to Wake Forest but I’m not sure if I’ve taken hard enough courses to get in. My parents want me to go somewhere in-state though and I live in SC and we don’t have too many good colleges
Thanks everyone for the input

AP Physics is horrible. Complex applied calculus… why not learn some life science… how the body works, ecosystems, basic body reactions, etc…

That’s only in AP Physics C that you apply Calculus. It’s not hard at all. It’s not horrible, just not for everyone. AP Bio is horrible. Just memorization of extremely boring facts and concepts. IB bio Hl is the same, and I school all the kids in that at my school.

It’s not that complex, it just takes looking at it from a different perspective.
However, seeing as you’re interested in the Human body… AP Bio is the most beneficial course for you.

I can’t tell you what it really is, I can only tell you what it feels like And right now it’s a steel pipe in my windpipe…

Take AP Physics! You can take Bio anytime in college, but Physics is a class that requires more prereq’s and it would be more beneficial for you to take it in high school.

Okay. If you have room, I would take both, but if you don’t, I would take AP bio then, because of your interests.
