Hey guys im a freshman. I will be taking an AP science along with AP calc ab, ap world, and ap euro, AP stat next year. In junior year, i will take AP physics c, ap physics b, along with the AP science i didnt take sophomore, AP lang, AP compsci A, ap enviro sci, APUSH, ap calc BC, and possibly ap spanish lit/lang. Basically my junior year is already packed so im looking at which AP is easier, BIO or CHEM. I want to take the harder of the two as a sophomore.
Thanks

Bio is easier than Chem.

Taking Physics C & B at the same time seems rather pointless. Also, you *might *be underestimating the difficulty of AP exams… It’s not about quantity; take what AP’s you want to actually learn about.

I STRONGLY agree with the above poster. Don’t take AP classes because colleges will choose you. Saying that’ll you take an AP course is much easier than taking the actual course.

To answer your question, I think it’ll be better if you took AP Biology instead of AP Chemistry because in biology you have to memorize a lot of information and requires little to no math.

I have AP bio and ap physics b right now and I took ap chem last year. It’s definitely manageable. I feel like if I had physics and chem together I’d be screwed. Too much math.

H’mm yeah i understand what you are saying. I want to learn all these things. Humanities and Science is my passion. Math is required because that is the succession that your supposed to do it in. Probably the only thing I’m considering is maybe not taking AP English language and delaying AP spanish lit and lang for another year. The thing is that I have to take either Honors AMerican Lit or AP ENGlish lang and both are very hard so i don’t think it makes too much of a difference. Point 2- I’m pretty good at Spanish and if I dont lake AP spanish lit and lang i will have to take Honors Spanish 4. H Spanish 4 is not required so i will reducing my difficulty of Junior year, but then will have one less schedule slot in Senior Year. Something to think about.

And yeah I’m taking 4 APs as a Freshman at a top 20 math and science school. Also keep in mind that some of these are self studies. Sophomore year i will be taking Bio or Chem, Stat, and Calc ab, and self studying world and euro. Junior Year i will be taking APES, APUSH, AP Physics C, AP Bio or Chem, (maybe AP english lang and spanish lang) and Calc BC. Will be self-studying AP Physics B, AP Comp Sci(I won’t need to study too much), and (maybe AP SPanish Lit). Self-studying Physics B is because I will be taking a university Physics course before Junior year to prepare as i will have no high school experience. This will allow me to document my performance and show colleges i have adequate knowledge in areas besides electricity, magnetism and magnetism. I have will have had two years of AP exams(4 freshman and 5 sophomore) before junior year so i will have time to gauge my ability to handle this course load(7-10 APs) in one year. You are probably right about delaying the 2 AP Spanish courses untill senior year. Linguistics is one of my favorite subjects. I’m fluent in 3 languages and working on becoming fluent in 5 more languages in the future so im pretty passionate. Delaying This would only be because the rigor might be too much to handle. Honors AmLit is pretty hard so idk if im gonna make my schedule that much easier by not taking AP Lang. Thanks for the input guys. I know this sounds pretty crazy and all but I’m pretty confident in my abilities and this is tough schedule no doubt but similar ones have happened before at my school. I welcome more feedback if anyone else has some input to offer. Thanks
