Hello so I am a rising sophomore and schedules just came out, and i switched out of AP statistics, into AP Physics 1. I am currently in Honors Pre-Calculus and Honors Chemistry too. I am possibly wanting to be a physics major and be either a doctor or engineer. I was wondering if AP Physics 1 would be good to take, and then take AP Physics C junior year along with AP Biology or AP Chemistry (idk which one i should take junior year, and the other one senior year). The reason I picked AP Physics 1 sophomore year and not AP Bio is the fact that AP Bio has a much more extensive summer project that i may not be able to finish. So, would AP Physics 1 be a waste of time if im deciding to go into AP Physics C? or should i just take something like AP psychology this year?
At my school, AP Physics 1 is a required prerequisite to AP Physics C. So no, I don’t think it would be a waste of time.
Have you taken a Physics class before? If not, you should take AP Physics 1 before you take AP Physics C
I’m a sophomore right now, taking AP Physics C with no ‘physical’ physics background. I am more familiar with quantum mechanics and Theoretical mathematical physics. I would suggest taking AP Physics 1 first, just because it is SO much easier. Also, if you’re looking for an easy AP, AP Psychology is great. It could be your laid back class, which every student needs one (yes, even if you think you don’t, you actually do). AP Physics C, if you had no other APs would be ok. (Maybe with AP Calculus BC)
