Hey guys… So I was wondering if it was really worth it to take ap physics next year. I am currently a junior and I’m in honors physics and I got a 92 last semester. Our school only offers ap physics C and I’m taking AB next year( I was recommended for it and everyone in BC says it’s hard). I was wondering if I should take AP physics or if I should replace it with either AP Stats or AP Environmental Sciences. My other Classes would be AP CS, Calc AB, Reg. English, H Spanish 4 and Principles of Engineering.
What’s your intended major in college? If it’s engineering, do yourself a favor and take AP physics C. It was the hardest class my daughter took in HS but absolutely the most useful for her first year of college.
Take AP Physics C. This is what adcoms call a “solid” class.
Take the science most closely related to your future major, assuming you have a field in mind. AP Physics C is best for most engineering fields. It will also show rigor if you are applying to highly selective colleges.
I want to do something in STEM but I’m not sure which engineering major I want to be.
I heard it was a really hard class tho. I am also taking ab with ap physics at the same time. Is that bad?
Any engineering major requires physics. Taking C concurrently with Calc AB is pretty typical.
