AP Prank 2013 (on-topic: General AP FAQ thread)

Hello all,

I'd like to share this year's AP prank page with you all. This year's theme is Kim Jong Un.

**Moderators: In addition to a prank page, the page is also welcoming ANY questions about the AP process. Both admins have taken numerous AP tests and will be offering general advice as well as insights and humor about the AP process.

If you have any general questions about the test, feel free to ask here or on the page!

Info, copied from the description:
AP exams are as boring to grade as they are to take. AP readers aren't allowed grade any material which is crossed out. Thus grows a grand tradition of unified exam pranking.

This year, our theme will be Kim Jong Un, the cheery North Korean dictator. To carry out the prank, simply insert references to Kim Jong Un, North Korea, dictators, etc. whenever you can fit them into your essays, and then cross them out unless they are actually relevant. For instance, if I were taking AP Euro, I would write, "Kim Jong Un skipped breakfast, so he ate Europe for lunch," cross it out, and then write, "Napoleon conquered Europe." If I were taking AP Calculus, I would write, " f''(x) is feeling negative because North Korea might nuke it," cross it out, and write, " f''(x) is negative because f(x) is concave down."

I remember doing this with my AP exams last year. Thanks for the link.
Wonder if it’s the same person as last year’s page.

hehe sounds fun

this is actually hilarious

awesome. I was too scared to do this last year, but will definitely join in this year xD but those Kim Jong Un references need to be more funny than those ones. and more witty ;)

Don’t forget, in order to stay on topic, please feel free to ask any questions about the entire process of APs!

I’ll be posting tips and funny stuff regularly. (:

Tips for food and water:

 • Water is not allowed! This is what I would recommend: try to time it so that you pee right before the test, THEN go drink water from a water fountain and get your thirst quenched.
 • Don’t eat JUST candy during the break period. Pure sugar metabolizes quickly and you’ll crash from the sugar rush in the middle of your FRQs. Try instead: fruits like apples, ESPECIALLY bananas - they keep you fuller, longer.
 • Don’t forget to eat lunch between a morning and afternoon test! I had this problem last year between my AP Chem and Psych tests - I ended up eating my bento box lunch in line for Psych. Make your lunch hearty, but still portable - you don’t know whether your test will run over schedule.
 • Pack snack foods in a clear gallon-sized plastic bag with your name written in sharpie - this makes it easier for you to find your food when it’s time for the break.

More tips coming soon! (:

Dear god please eat before you take morning exams as well. Wake up an hour early if you need to. Nothing sucks more than watching the clock during the exam because you’re hungry and want the break to start/the exam to be over.

Also I recommend complex carbs for food the night before (pasta, potatoes, etc). I bring granola bars/water/some sliced fruit for snacks.

I love this…
