Hi everyone, I'm self studying for the AP Psych exam. Do you have tips or advice for the multiple choice, and especially on how to answer the free response?

Practice the released M/C and FRQ questions released by collegeboard.

Don’t waste your time trying to make a well-crafted, cohesive “essay” for the response. You don’t need intro sentences or transitions, just get the information down.

The multiple choice is designed to test the breadth of your knowledge, not the depth. So I would recommend covering as many topics as possible and sacrificing depth if you are limited on time. If you read about Pavlov’s study and just don’t get it - move on. You could learn four or five concepts in the tine you agonize over a topic you aren’t understanding. And like I said, breadth is more important on the multiple choice. Don’t sacrifice depth if you have time to learn it because depth is important for free response - but if you have to choose between understanding one topic really well and five on a superficial level, the latter will help your score more.

If you read the question and draw a blank, don’t give up. Psych nomenclature is pretty self-explanatory, and your chances of BSing something right is pretty good.
