AP Psych vs. AP Euro

Which is more difficult, which is more fun and which looks more impressive?

I just found out that my APWH teacher from freshman year (I gotta 5) volunteered to teach AP euro if ~20 students signed up for it. Our school hasn't offered euro for a while now, and my APWH teacher is awesome, plus i am great at history (5 on world, have a 100% in APUSH right now)

BTW, i am a sophomore right now, but our school makes us choose our classes in mid october.

I was originally planning on psych, that seems easier, no?

Psych is definitely easier, but Euro isn’t that much harder. Just a lot of memorization on both sides, but in Euro, there is some application as well.

If you got a 5 in APWH, you’ll be fine in Euro.
I personally think Euro is much more interesting than Psych at base value, but I find both of them engaging as I do enjoy the subject area of Psychology.

Our SD doesn’t offer world, only Euro. My son took it, put in zero effort (did not outline one page in the book) and wound up with a 5. He took AP Psych but dropped it because he really did not enjoy the neuro-biology aspects and because he did not want to read the book assigned for the report. Our school doesn’t allow self-study so he didn’t take the test. Depending on where he goes to college, I may have him CLEP Psych.

Cool yeah, APWH and APUSH have been easy for me and my APWH teacher who’ll teach psych made APWH pretty easy.

I took AP Euro last year and I’m taking AP psych this year. Personally, I find AP psych much easier, and I actually like the class a lot more than I liked AP Euro. It seems more interesting. So that’s both side of the coin.

I had the same teacher for AP Psych and AP Euro, so I have a pretty good understanding of the differences. AP Euro is definitely much more work; it involves cumbersome amounts of reading and the free response section is more difficult than AP Psychology’s. That being said, I find both to be very interesting, so it’s hard to choose between them. If you are more into science and anthropology, take AP Psych. If you have come to find that you have a passion for history, take AP Euro. Or, take both? (like me :D)

Either way, I think you’ll find both classes to be intriguing and rewarding.
