AP Psychology Discussion - 2011

Be warned- no discussion of ANY multiple choice questions or discussion of FRQ's until at least 48 hours after the exam. Please consult this for more info:

Personally, I felt the FRQ's weren't too bad, although I did the second question first, then the first question (no idea...).
On the other hand, I feel like I made sheer guesses on 20 to 40 of the MCQ's. I didn't really take any practice exams except SparkNote's online diagnostic test (which I took at 2AM, and actually got a scaled 2 on).

I'm actually considering cancelling my test. How'd it go for you?

What’s the point of canceling the test? I thought AP scores did not affect admissions.

I think I did okay. Maybe a 4. I forgot some terms from the essays.

Easy. I’m glad that Barron’s made their tests a lot harder than the actual exam, because it seemed really easy in comparison. I think I finished the MC section 20 minutes early, so I just went back and checked all of the stuff I was unsure about. However, there were maybe a handful of questions that were never mentioned by Barron’s. Overall, very good on the MC. On the FRQs, I think there might have been one or two things I screwed up on the first FRQ, and I am pretty sure I missed one point on the second FRQ. I’m aiming for a 5.

Harder than my practice tests (which were CB material). Meh.

Thankfully, the FRQs involved mostly terms which I know.

PR was definitely somewhat easier. I should have tried Barron’s out.

i did barron’s. and i’m glad… there were a lot of random terms that I remembered from it.
missed about 20 of the MCQ
maybe 2-4 points off of FRQ
but who knows, may have missed more. just a guess :)

I thought it was easy… I was unsure of maybe 15 of the 100…

Does anyone have a guess of the curve to get a 5? Like how many MC and FRQ points one can miss and still get a 5?

this is if both FRQ’s were 8 points each, but this year there was one 7 and one 8, so im not sure how the differences apply
<a href=“Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board”>Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board;

There was about 15 that I wasn’t 100% on, but of those 15 only maybe 5-7 were questions that I actually felt like I had a chance at missing.

The FRQ was so easy that I’m really only worried about whether I spelled a couple words right or not. haha

I’ll be surprised if I don’t get a 5.

To those reading this, please note that psychology (and social sciences in general) is one of my best subjects. Good luck to everyone! Hopefully there’ll be 5s all around!

this year’s frqs and mcqs for both ap chem and psych were a bit different than others.

^ I agree with you. I think there were about 15 or so I wasn’t 100% on, but I still narrowed down a few choices and took my best guess. I think I missed 1-3 points on the FRQ. That’s a solid 5, right?

According to this: http://ap.testfrenzy.com/curve.jpg</a>
I would presume you’d need around 65%-70%ish on the MC, and, from what I read in Barron’s or something, need like 5-6’s on the FRQ’s for a 5.

I owned the multiple choice so hard. I definately got atleast 90% correct.

BUT I didn’t know about 6 FRQ–Borderline low five/high four. ONE TIME (5 obv)

lmao 6FRQ? thats alot bro. 6 questions…

woops10char

Well that test could have gone better

The multiple choice was reallyyy easy for me and I never even studied… I think I got 95% on that. And then free response I couldn’t remember one or two. But this will probably be the first and last 5 I get :/

I killed multiple choice and tanked on the essay. What the heck were all those random terms about? Luckily I took stat so everything statistics related was easy. I’m hoping for 4s on both the essays. Then I may have a chance of a 5.
