AP PSYCHOLOGY EXAM: how is it scored

How are AP EXAMS graded?
I just took the AP psychology test and I was wondering how grading worked.

On one website I saw that you need about a 103 points out of 150 points to get a 5 on the exam. This makes no sense to me because doesn't that score equate to like a 69? How would a score equivilant to a D get u a score of a 5 on the test....? It doesn't make sense to me because how does everyone not get a 4 or a 5 if it's graded so leniantly??

Thanks much :)

The ap exams are hard, plain and simple thats it lol they make them so nobody can get a every question right. (Psych is the easiest exam by far so most get good scores) but other exams are much more difficult so its very hard to get at least a 3

I’m in the same boat. I’ve been calculating my possible score a lot and I’ve been getting a lot of results. Same with my research. Some say that you need at least an 80% to get a 5, and some say you need a specific score, some even say you need a 50% at least, it is really all over the place. I wouldn’t worry too much anymore, I doubt you would be worrying about this for what? 2 months? I would just wait patiently and hope for the best, that’s what I’m doing now. Plus, there are the curves and such, so you seriously never know what will be your projected score and the grading scale until you find out with the score you get and such.

And yes, all of this doesn’t make sense. xD

AP Psychology is one of the “easiest” AP Exams, so people take the name by it, causing many indviduals to take it and while the people who thought it was “easy” and didn’t put time into it, caused them to not pass. Which makes sense. Its pretty much like AP Environmental Science, a lot of people do not pass because of it being overrated as an “easy” AP. I personally think that AP Environmental Science looks pretty terrifying from what I’ve been exposed to about the exams.
