AP psychology

I heard that AP pysch is almost a useless AP course because UC's dont really care about them. Does anyone know if this is true? In this case would it be better to take a sport instead?

every UC will treat different AP classes differently, depending on the department it belongs to and the college/school you're admitted to.
for instance, AP psych gives me 4 units of credit and gives me credit for pysch 10 (intro psych). which is nice, since i'm a psych major :)
go here http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/Prospect/APCredit.htm to see what each AP class will give you. there's no such thing as a "useless" AP course, but some will give you more credit than others, or get you out of classes that you'll be applying to your major (so you can advance faster).
if you like psychology, i encourage you to take it, even if it won't be your major! the material you learn in that class will stick with you far longer, because it is so much more relevant to everyday life than econ or calculus. although those are useful too xD
