I just took the AP Physics B exam and I didnt know most of the answers for the free response questions, but do I still get credit for units? For ex: If a question asked for how much force was needed, then I just made up a random number and put Newtons at the end because force is measured in Newtons, so will I get partial credit or none?

It depends on the scoring guidelines for the exam. Some give one point for the correct units throughout the question, while for others, the units and answer must be correct.

Ok thanks for your response, I also just went on AP Central and looked at some past exams, and figured out that only one point is given in the whole question for correct units on ALL numerical answers.

what if the answer was needed for the next part, and you used that made up number in it? If you did everything in the next part correctly, do you get full credit?

You get full credit for the part you did with the made up number, but not full credit for the part where you made the number up.
