Last year, I received a 3 (blegh) on my AP Human Geography test. When I initially registered for the test, I chose to have the score sent to my top college choice. How much will this ultimately affect my admissions? (my intended major has nothing to do with Human Geo., btw) Will the college even take the score into consideration that much?

Also, when I want to send AP scores to colleges as college credit, if I already listed it in my registration, do I need to send it again if I want to receive credit for it? Or is that an extra $15?

Thanks for your help... The teachers at my school are not very helpful about this.

As for the test result affecting your pending admission, I’ve heard that generally it doesn’t hold much weight at all. Especially if it’s a class like Human Geography. The more important facet of the AP is the actual class itself, and the grade that you received in it. So you should be okay, I think. :)

I am totally clueless when it comes to your other question, haha. Good luck, though!

I’m assuming you’re going to still be in high school in the fall because you’re worried about admissions. If you plan on taking more AP tests next May you won’t have to pay to send your scores if you fill in the boxes on your AP test. You can even pick a different school next year on your test without having to pay money. My teachers and counselors recommended that we didn’t send AP scores before senior year, and by May everyone had picked out their schools.

If you’re trying to send your scores somewhere else to get college credit for fall 2010 you will have to pay whatever the fee is to send your scores to another school.
