AP Requirements for UK Universities

Hi,

I’m an American student who will be applying to LSE and KCL. Application requirements for my majors are AAA on the a levels. However, since I take AP tests I have to achieve 5 APs at a score of 5. My sophomore year, I took one AP which I got a 5 on, and this year (my junior year) I took 3 more APs which I am awaiting my scores on however I am confident I received 5s on all of them. But, that means that I will have only taken 4 AP tests by the time I send in my UCAS application in September. I know that for A levels, the score release day isn’t until a month before first year starts and they receive conditional acceptances based on that, but, they have predicted scores on their applications which we do not get for APs. Does this mean I can’t apply since I will not have take 5 APs by the time I send in my application? Because I will be taking 5 more AP tests at the end of my senior year which would in fact over qualify me to apply and I would receive my scores in July, a month before British students receive their A-levels. So, can I put predicted scores for these APs that I have yet to take or do I just put them on my application as score pending? Or am I not allowed to apply at all?

Anything helps, thank you!

It’s absolutely fine to apply. Ask your teacher recommendation to include predicted scores for the APs you haven’t taken yet. Any offer is likely to be conditional on achieiving at least some of those predictions.

Thank you! That is extremely helpful!!
