AP Rescoring, Successful or Unsuccessful Stories

AP Scores recently came out and I was a freshman who took AP Human Geography. My teacher taught me very well, and I got pretty good scores on my Barron’s practice. My teacher also does a game like “Survivor” the TV Show where the one who knows the most in the course wins through mini games with questions, and I won out of my class of 25 kids. I was really surprised to see myself get a 3 on the AP exam, knowing that I barely had trouble with the class and had straight a’s in it. My friends who barely studied all got better scores than me. And I know it’s the easiest AP class to take, so I feel silly getting a 3 and am scared for my future, more difficult AP classes knowing I got a 3 (AP Psych, AP Euro).

My point being, is it stupid to rescore? I know most are unsuccesful, but if anybody had rescoring stories please share.

Not worth rescoring especially since this is your 1st AP exam/course. Many schools will not give you credit or allow you to opt out of any GE classes associated with AP Human Geography with a 3 and some will, so I would move forward and work hard/study harder for the next batch of AP classes/exams you will take in the next few years.

Thank you! I realize I was probably kinda nervous taking it, and am just going to hope for the best next year.
