hey, I had a quick question about the number of AP scores we send in to colleges, I plan on taking about 8 ap courses during my HS per., but will have only completed 4 by the end of junior year. I just realized that my last four scores wont come out until the end of senior year, by which we would have already applied to colleges. so does this mean that we can only send our 4 scores that we have took so far, how would the colleges ur applying to know that u took 8 ap courses instead of only four? and are we allowed to submit those senior year scores?

The colleges will know how many AP courses you are taking in senior year because the application asks which courses you are taking and your transcript will also indicate the courses you are taking. However, admission decisions are made before you take the AP tests so colleges will not know your scores on the senior year AP courses. Therefore, you are best of taking Subject Tests in those subjects.

Colleges do not require AP scores for admissions. You are welcome to self-report them, however. No need to pay to have them officially reported until you have matriculated. Your school may use them for class placement and for credit.
