Is anyone else putting AP Scholar with Distinction down as a "scholastic distinction" or is it so common that it doesn't even matter? And if so, what level of recognition are you checking? It doesn't really fit any of those categories since it's not a competitive award.

Honestly, I'd say that depends on how important it is to you. A 3.5 isn't that difficult, in fact, considering the cutoffs, anything below a 4 shows lack of mastery in a subject. However, if you studied for those AP tests yourself without classes, then it's definitely something I'd put on there, and then talk about in an essay or somesuch.

How valuable is AP National Scholar(if you had it by end of junior year)?

I'm a AP Scholar with something distinction(took 4 tests with 3 5's and a 4). Is that any value(I self studied calc BC and got a 5).

are the collegeboard people supposed to send you a certificate or something cause I never got one but I took 3 AP tests and passed all three

Yeah same here, I have four scores, they are all fives, and I haven't heard anything about this AP scholar stuff. I'd sure like to know soon if I am one so I can put it on applications.

I sent them like 3 emails but every time they said I had to call a long distance number...ugg!

The College Board is notorious for getting those things out late. One of my friends was an AP Scholar by the end of his freshmen year, and didn't get anything until halfway into his sophomore year.

Frankly, I'd go ahead and put it down if you know you meet the requirements, it's not something you can make up, and colleges will have the scores to back it up.

The certificates were just mailed out this past week, they are usually not sent until late Sept. each year (and that will mean you may get your final certificate and designation after you've already started college). My son's final certificate and letter just arrived yesterday, and he's a freshman now.

They will contact you if you qualify, don't fret about it.
