AP Scholar Award Questions

What exactly is the AP Scholar Award? When can you get this award? I know a little bit that you are rewarded based on AP Scores, but is it based on the AP Scores for all 4 high school yrs, or one certain year, the 3 years (9-11) before you start applying for colleges?

Thanks for any help!!!

Please guys I really need help on this subject…

The basic AP Scholar award is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams no matter when they were taken. There are other awards beyond this based on increasing numbers of exams and scores.

So for national AP scholar, you need to have done well on 8 AP exams by junior yr or senior yr?

Any year including freshman year. The award is essentially for maintaining an average of 4 over 8 exams or more but needing a minimum of 4 on 8 exams.

Any year, but to put it on a traditional college app you’ll need to finish by junior year.

Oh ok thanks!!!

Autumnal is right, you’ll win the award if you meet the requirements by the end of senior year, but it will be too late to put on any application.
