AP Scholar Award useful on apps if school doesn't offer aps?

Hey Guys,

so i realized a couple weeks ago that I qualified for the AP Scholar Award because of the three ap tests I took: Bio (4), World (5) and Calc BC (5).

Now I know usually this doesn't really mean much, but I was wondering if you guys thought it might be different and more useful to put on my app because my school only offers 4 APs. And those are spanish, french, calc ab and stats--which are all electives for seniors--however because I skipped a math class I was in AP Calc AB.

So would this be useful to put on my apps?

I don’t think it would give that much leverage to your application, but it couldn’t hurt.

Definitely put it on your app.

AP Scholar is something worth mentioning on your apps, though depending on where you apply, it might not amount to much.

^Agreed.
In your situation, it is a pretty prestigious award though colleges may not see it as such.

It couldn’t hurt, so you might as well just put it down.

^ haha well I guess it won’t really help too much then considering the fact that I’ll be applying to yale, penn and others of that caliber.

I guess it doesn’t really hurt though

Haha, I go to a school that offers like 20-something APs and I’m still putting National AP Scholar on my app…so yeah, you should definitely put yours too.

I doubt anybody has so many awards better than an AP Scholar Award that no room is left on the app for AP Scholar. So, just put it on your application; it won’t hurt.
