<p>Anyone get their AP Scholar Awards yet? Just got my Scholar w/ Distinction certificate in the mail today (it's honestly the most bland certificate I've ever received, expected some nice paper and shiny/wax stamp after $86 a test...)</p>
<p>Yeah, I just got the State AP Scholar award. No complaints! CB sent these out significantly earlier than they did in previous years.</p>
<p>I got Scholar with Distinction and National AP scholar certificates in the mail today :)</p>
<p>My son just received his Scholar w/ Distinction, State AP Scholar & National AP Scholar. I agree the certificates are a bit cheesy … According to the letter the State AP Scholar was sent to the State’s Supt for Education for distribution … maybe he’ll get a nicer cert from the state!</p>

<p>texaspg - the State AP Scholar award does not come with a scholarship, unfortunately. The Siemens AP Award does, but you would have known much earlier had your son/daughter qualified for it. Congratulations on State, though!</p>
<p>I got the AP Scholar with honor yesterday, 1 5 and 3 4’s. Expecting national AP scholar for next year :)</p>

<p>KN - Sorry, the kid did nt get the State and not aiming for it for sure. I read somewhere Siemens automatically hands over check when someone is named State AP scholar. Is that not the case? How do they define a winner?</p>
<p>Does notification for state ap scholar come separate or in the same letter as national ap scholar and the other awards?</p>
<p>They come together, although the certificate is not included.</p>
<p>My son’s letter included all three notifications in one letter. The envelope included the certificates for AP Scholar & National Scholar. The certificate for State was not included but instead stated the certificate was mailed to our State’s Supt of Education for distribution</p>
<p>I see the Cali-people haven’t received their awards yet, it’s like the opposite of the mailed AP scores dilemma.</p>

<p>I’m from Washington and I haven’t gotten anything and to my knowledge, none of my friends have. So maybe they’re being shipped from the west coast this time :P?</p>
