Apparently it’s VERY common, at least here in Puerto Rico, for students that take exams in more than one year to have different accounts created. Thankfully, my problem seems to have been fixed, seeing as I got a new score report today with all the exams I took this year and last year. I guess I’ll get a new certificate soon too.

Is the award given for all the exams you’ve ever taken or just the ones taken this year?

They are supposed to consider your entire history when they dole out the awards. That is why it is important that all exams are listed in a single account in order to determine appropriate awards.

All exams, including those from previous years, are checked when giving out the awards.

This happens pretty often. You should definitely call; it’s easy to get fixed and they are generally good about it; it only delays the award by a couple weeks.

SF Bay Area, got my National AP Scholar and AP Scholar with Distinction certificates. (9 5s, 2 4s)

I find it amusing that the AP and CollegeBoard logos on the letter look pixelated.

hey guys I thought I should have qualified for the national AP Scholar award (eight 5s and one 4) but in the mail I only got AP scholar with distinction

@ bad - If your tests were over the course of more than one year check to make sure the account number is the same for all years. Chances are you have more than one account. This can be fixed by calling CB and having your accounts merged.

I called them and they said they will fix it in a week. Their explanation was one report had the SS No while the other two did not!! Their computer therefore did not match the person.

If you have to merge two accounts, will the collegeboard redo State AP Scholar? Ex: Person A takes 21, but they’re in two accounts, so Person B with 20 gets it. Person A merges accounts - what happens next?

@bad - check your recent score report to see if they listed your scores from previous years. If not, you know you have multiple accounts as Blueiguana says above.

I found out last year that all AP tests should have student’s SSN in order to avoid multiple accounts.

@Bad. I misread your post. Did not see “National”. Congrats.

Received word from my D yesterday that her school has received all her AP’s scores. CB did what they said they would and merged the accounts and sent the scores. No new certificate yet but not worried about it.

Just wanted to let everyone know I just got my AP Scholar award certificate today, and I live in San Francisco. Yeah I received it late, the certificated was dated August 12.

My DD just got hers yesterday (Texas).

Still have not received mine. Should I be worried? (Idaho btw)

S got his last week in Ohio.

Got mine 3 days ago.

AP Scholar as a current junior. Yes.
