ap scholar awards

Our school doesn't let you take AP's til junior year (except ap comp sci and unless you're an exception, which I'm not :/) and I'm taking either 2,3, or 4 next year.

(ap us history, ap chem, ap bio(?), and ap french(?)).

Let's say I take 3 ap's next year. Is it worth it to self study 2 more just to get a AP Scholar with Distinction award?

Or should I just wait until senior year when I'll take around 4-6 ap's? Since AP tests aren't until the end of the year, I can't put them on my college applications, right?

So - self study or don't self study? Plus our school charges $90 a test...would it be worth it?

And since I'm (almost) fluent in Chinese and Spanish (soon hopefully), should I take them? How much weight do colleges put on AP tests where you haven't taken the classes?

Thanks in advance

tako, being an AP Scholar looks good. Doing well on multiple AP exams is equated with high intelligence, but AP programs are not all colleges look at.
