So today, I got a certificate in the mail for "AP Scholar with Honors". So I checked the qualifications for the various "AP Scholar" Awards, and figured out that if I were to cancel my Calc BC Scores, I would be an "AP Scholar with Distinction"! This is because I got a 2 on the exam which pulled my score average down to below and 3.5, but without the BC Score, I still got a 3 or higher on at least 5 exams. My question is if I were to cancel my Calc BC score from this year, would College Board change my certificate to "AP Scholar with Distinction"?

Probably. But don’t expect to get the new recognition until next fall. Score cancellation only takes effect on the next score report, and since that is next summer, the certificate will be after that.
