<p>My son received an AP Scholar certificate over the summer. He doesn't know if he should list it in the Honors section of the common app. And, if he does is this a nation recognition, regional, international?</p>
<p>AP Scholar may be listed on the common app unless there’s a better/more prestigious award that can take the place of it. As far as I know, it is safe to list AP Scholar as a national award.</p>
<p>Yes do it. I am listing AP Scholar With Distinction. It should look really good, because fewer students got AP scholar with D than got NMSF in TN.</p>
<p>It may “look good”, but isn’t it kind of redundant? They know your AP scores and which APs you took, so they can infer what type of AP Scholar award you got…</p>
