AP science courses for H.S

Hi! I am a sophmore- going on to Jr year. I’m having a hard time choosing my AP science course for next year. So im between AP Chem, AP Physics and AP Bio. generally AP bio is a sr. year class since its easier and Physics junior year. but im having trouble deciding if i should take chem next year since i just took the honors chemistry course or go into physics or bio instead. what do you all think?

if u just did chem honors, i think u can just register for AP chemistry exam and take the exam without taking the course (I believe honors and AP are not half the world different; u could fill the gap by just try working on previous exams. And, you should know that Penn does not accept AP chemistry as a freshman credit equivalent. If you will major in science or engineering that need chem you will still have to either take the internal exams or take the courses. You DON'T need to spend money on chem AP exam if you're not gonna use the grade for anything.) . Then u'll have room to decide whether to take physics or bio. If I were you I'd take both.

Anyway, be prepared that Physics AP and Bio AP exams are usually held on the same test date. Do both only if you are sure u won't be stressed out. (Well, that's what I did and it didn't kill me.)

I'd have to disagree. I took both Honors Chemistry and AP Chemistry and without taking the latter the AP test would have been much more difficult.

Regardless, I think that in the end it depends on what you plan on majoring in in college. If you plan on majoring in chemistry, definitely take another year of chemistry. If you plan on majoring in a different science, take the course that is most closely related to that science. If you are not going to major in science at all, then just take the one that interests you the most.
