AP science...

hi everyone!

ok, so by the end of this year I'll have 3 years of science finished (bio, chem, physics), the problem is that at my school, we have to chose "majors" for our junior and senior years of high school, and so the major that i picked has my senior year schedule loaded with APs...just not an AP science, and with all the classes I'll have next year there won't even be room for an AP science...so what should I do? I mean, i read on harvard's website that they want 4 years of science, including an AP science, but its impossible for me to have that with my schedule..........so is that going to hurt my chances at harvard (i'm taking the hardest course load i possibly can, by the way)?

thanks!!!

post a list of the classes you will be taking next year.

In general you are looked at in the context of your school. If you are worried you can ask your GC to explain that your major makes it impossible to take an AP Science course as a senior, but that your course of study is considered among the most demanding.

Harvard doesn't require anyone to take AP courses nor does it require its applicants to take so and so many courses. It recommends but does not require.

ok, here are the classes i'll be taking next year

ap economics (micro and macro)
ap government
ap english lit (i'm taking english comp this year)
ap psych
sociology
anthropology
math (i'm thinking of taking ap calc ab or bc)
gym

i really don't have a desire to take sociology or anthropology at all (well, maybe a little for anthropology), but its all because of this major thing. i know that these kinds of classes are considered "fluff" and im not really sure if harvard's going to take me seriously.
