AP Score of 3= Good, Bad, or Blah?

This year I am taking only one AP- AP Calc AB (taking BC exam)- at school. (My school only offers two AP classes and last year I took AP Bio.) Last year I also took AP World History as an online course and scored a 3 on the exam. I was (and still am) disappointed in my score. My question is, if I'm aiming for top tier schools, would it be best to not report this score? I feel so inferior to all of you who take 10 AP's and get all 5's. My concern though is if I don't report the score, that colleges will see that I took the course and figure that I did terrible (not like a 3 isn't terrible, but it's better than a 1 or 2) on the exam?

As of now my AP record is:
AP Human Geography 5
AP World History 3
AP Biology (didn't take exam, took through local college)
AP Calc (taking this year)

Anyone have any experience with this predicament? Your thoughts are much appreciated!

Bingo. Report the 3. A 3 is a good score.

Depends on your schools. It is roughly equivalent to a C in a first-semester course.

Report the score. Except for CC, 3’s are considered as being good scores, even at selective institutes. You may not get college credit for a 3, but that’s a different issue than what “looks” good to the college at admission time.

Report it. It’s better than a 1, a 2, or not reporting it at all.

Actually I’m in the same situation as the OP and my parents want me to retake it.

I got a 3, I’m disappointed but I am planning to report it anyways when it is time to apply. The universities here award the same amount of credits for 3, 4, 5 on AP World History anyways.

082349: Is it possible to retake AP tests? I thought we couldn’t but I could be wrong.

Of course you can, just take it this year again.
