<p>In my schools a 4 and 5 are pretty common, because our course is very hard.
That's why I said if the course is hard/teacher is good, then you should be fine.</p>

<p>Probably because they're school might require them to take the AP exams or their counties pay for the exams.</p>

<p>Seriously? Wow, my school couldn't care less if you take the exam. The teachers get a little offended if you don't, but that's all...</p>
<p>and what stinks the most is that they made it mandatory starting the year that i started taking APs... x_x</p>
<p>Ya, we're forced to take the AP exam whether or not we want to. Or else we don't get the weighted GPA. Some teachers are sending names to the admin and telling them not to waste their money on the students and, therefore, don't get the weighted GPA</p>
