Hey everyone! I had a quick question regarding AP scores that I hope you could shed some light on. I took 8 APs, 6 5s and 1 4 and 1 3. When I am applying to college, specifically Penn who requires all the test scores, do I need to report the ones under a 5 on either the common app or official score report. I am a little confused as to what exactly I am sending to them in terms of AP scores and if at all I need to send in the official score report before I get in. Also, even though Penn requires all scores, is there a way I can not submit the bad scores until the admissions process is over so that they wont consider them all together when they read my file? Thanks!

The policy of schools such as Penn that requires submission of all test scores applies to ACT and SAT and Subject Test results, not AP scores. In your case, I’d suggest self reporting all your AP scores, including the one 3.

I don’t know of any schools that ask for official AP score reports with your applications. Most people do not send the official reports until they decide where to attend. Self reporting APs and not sending official AP score reports is the norm.
