Do I need to send my AP scores officially, like the rest of my tests, for them to be a part of my application or is the common app self report fine?
That depends on each college’s policy. Some accept the Common App self-report, but some want the AP scores direct from College Board.
U Michigan - Ann Arbor does not seem to indicate on their website that you need to send the AP scores, but if it was my application, I would call to be absolutely sure.
Good luck to you!
They need to be sent from where you took the tests like college board. https://admissions.umich.edu/apply/freshmen-applicants/requirements-deadlines
This should of been read while ago… Lol.
^That doesn’t say anything about AP scores for admission purposes. I would self-report in the app and/or call the admission office to ask. AP exam scores are not in the list of academic criteria considered in their section describing their selection process, vs AP courses, which are considered as indicative of the quality of your curriculum.
For credit and/or placement, send an official report after senior year APs to the college where you have enrolled.
Yep you are correct… I read AP as Act.
My bad.
I contancted them and was told for them to consider the AP score, they must be sent officially. Thanks for the help
