Hi, I was just wondering if AP scores matter a lot in the transferring process. I applied to Georgetown, and they have me list what APs I took and the scores and then send in an official copy. I'm worried because even though I can only list 4-5 APs of the ones I did well in on the app, I'm afraid they'll see my terrible scores in the other APs (which was due to senioritis :/). Will it matter much if I got a 2 in AP Micro but I got an A in the intro course in college?

AP scores aren’t going to matter if you took the course in college and did well.

I also took AP Lit/Lang and got 2/3, but I got an A in University Writing. Is University Writing equivalent to AP Lit/Lang? Or would a creative writing class be more relevant? I’m still wavering on sending scores or not. I want to show them that despite the bad APs, I still did well in the actual college courses. But I need to know that they’re going to view this favorably, otherwise I’m wasting my money sending in an official copy. (They said I can send in a copy if they want me to view my app holistically.)

Sorry I’m a worry wart. It’s just that I take finance matters very seriously since I’m not very well off. :/

You are asking two questions here:

Whether or not to send an official AP score report.

Whether or not it will affect their decision.

I answered #2 above.

The answer to #1 depends on whether or not GT requires you to send a score report (as indicated in your OP) or not.

ahh sorry. i guess i was caught in the “worried” moment when i was writing about AP lit/lang and university writing. and then that made me ramble and deny the obvious. because of course they’d look favorably on getting a 2 on AP micro and an A in the intro course. i guess the english APs are my true source of worry.
