AP scores- already into college?

I didn't know where to post this, but do AP scores matter when you're already into college? I know getting credits -wise they do, but colleges won't rescind you for bad scores will they?

I have my AP Gov. test tomorrow, and when I say we learned nothing, we didn't. We didn't take one test all semester, so I don't even know what a government question looks like. I also need a 4 or 5 for credit at my college, and I know there's no way I can even get a 3.

I'm debating not taking the test (and paying $13) or just sitting through it and canceling it after?

No, they won't rescind you for bad scores.

Na nothing will probably happen but I think if you put AP on your mid year report you have to take the AP test or something like that.

are you guys absolutely sure about that? I have friends that are all into self-studying and taking APs because apparently that looks good.

So, do AP scores really matter to admissions? or are they just for college credit?

The don't matter much in admissions, you self-report your scores on your college apps...so you can choose which ones to put anyway if you don't do so well.

OP, i know exactly how you feel. my APs this year are lit, spanish, and psych, and none of them are really gonna matter for me in terms of college credit. plus, my spanish teacher was horrible this year so i'm not even going to try to study for the exam. if you do well on AP exams, thats great, and if not, nothing bad will happen to you.

i'm taking the calc ab exam, but planning on cancelling my score immediately afterward. i'm already accepted to college, so will a cancelled score look bad to my college? which is worse: a 1 or 2 on an exam or a cancelled score? or does it really not matter since i already accepted the college's offer of admission. will they really not rescind for ap scores or cancelled ap scores?

same question as above ^ i don't know whether to cancel my bad scores or just leave them..

It doesn't matter.

no thats not true- if you put ap on your "midyear report" that does NOT mean you have to take the ap test.

plus it doesnt matter what u get anyway
