<p>I agree about Micro and Macro for ILRies: skip out of it if you can, but you'll survive if you don't! I ended up with mediocre grades in both, even though I had taken and loved both in high school. I have never been a good test-taker, especially where multiple choice is involved, so I finished my high school classes with whopping 3s on both APs. I had to take them both this year, and though they didn't "ruin my semester" by any stretch of the imagination, the drudgery of an 800-person lecture, work-intensive (though not necessarily challenging...) problem sets, and huge multiple choice finals was in sharp contrast to all of the fun I was having in my smaller, discussion- and paper-oriented ILR classes. You can totally do well in them by going to sections and forming study groups, but they're really good to skip if at all possible.... free up room for classes you will like more!</p>
