Just found out that AP scores can be found out by contacting College Board for a fee of 8.00…worth it to find out son made a 5 in AP Lit !

not worth it to me. doesn’t make a difference to me to know a few days early.

That sucks! This is another way for College Board to steal money for us. Why can’t they post it online just like the SATs

We broke down too Lizardmom. D was hearing about scores from her classmates and what’s another $8 at this point huh? Happy to say that she’ll get credit for both Chem & Statistics at UA so she’ll be coming in with 25 credits :)

RobD: Kudos to your daughter with her AP results. They will become very important when it’s time to select spring 2011 classes and housing – should she decide to live elsewhere on campus. The more credits a student has, the earlier that he or she selects those two items – even if he or she has priority for both.

The first person who finds AP scores reported on MyBama - please let us know so we know specifically where to look. Have been checking DegreeWorks but nothing there yet. :)

AL34: Alabama lists the APs as pass/fail. Try checking and seeing if they are listed on your son’s transcript. If I remember correctly, someone posted last year that the scores were in the system and available the first full week of July, or in time for another session of Bama Bound.

Bama usually uploads the AP scores from Collegeboard within the first two weeks of July. You might want to call the registrars office and ask when they will be doing it.

DS couldn’t wait. We spent the $8! It was worth it to hear a 5 in AP calculus!!! Can I get a WHOO HOOO???

WHOO HOO! Congratulations :)

DS’s transfer credit has been applied in Degree Works for his dual enrollment classes. He has 21 credits from DE classes and has 4 more AP’s to go! They are showing his GPA as a 4.0 after his DE credit. Does that GPA really carry over???

My D’s AP credits have not been applied yet, and we’re kind of sweating it - she has an override in honors chem and calc based on her getting a 3-5 on the subject tests. . .
Scores have not arrived yet - contemplating calling the college board on Monday and giving them another $8

timeflew, my DS’s AP scores haven’t been applied yet either. They just got his transcript on the DE classes. We paid the $8 for the AP scores by phone.

one of my DDs teachers posted on FB that he received the scores today.

could you email the teacher?

^^^
My AP Macroeconomics teacher received our scores yesterday and sent me a message telling me my score. They should be able to tell you, if that’s what you’re asking.

if you were addressing me … i was addressing timeflew when saying “could you email the teachers”.

that way they could find out the scores and not have to pay 8$ for them.

my sons ap scores arrived in the mail yesterday! They were all GOOD news. Now we just need to wait for them to be applied by Bama. Do we check Degreeworks or somewhere else?

They will be up on degree works, but they aren’t yet.

Son’s scores arrived a few days ago, all excellent, nothing yet on myBama/Degree Works. He’ll begin his UA career with at least 18 credits via AP scores. I say “at least” 18 because UA does not give core credit for AP Environmental Science.

However, for any of you who took, or are going to take, this course/exam, we were informed by an advisor during our visit to Bama in March that there’s a good chance our son will be able to apply his AP Environmental score as elective credit. I’ll post an update on this once we navigate our way through the bureaucratic maze.

Congrats to all of you who hit home runs on your AP tests!

Yes, let us know. My DD is taking that class this year, so hopefully she can get some credit for it.
