AP scores cancelled...need help

Due to "testing irregularities", the AP scores of hundreds of students at my school were cancelled, including all 4 of my AP tests...(Calc AB, Language, Chem, USH)
Accordingly, we'll probably be given a chance at retake, but at this point I've already forgotten most things and have lost most of my notes..

So here I am, desperate, angry, looking for SOME kind of advice of how to get through this.

RIP Summer

Huh this situation looks very similar -too similar - to the situation my school is in. What school do you go to? Just curious

Walnut High School :/

Aha, I kind of guessed you were from there too! I’m from that school also, and I heard about what happened. Hell broke loose late this afternoon after news got out =</p>

If you want, we can take this to PMs so we can keep this convo private. I can try to give you some help/advice to the best of my abilities.

Sorry to jump in, but is this Walnut in SoCal? Or a different Walnut?

Hahaha that awkward moment when you have an unplanned high school reunion on CC

^ ahahahaahah

@314159265: This is the Walnut High School in SoCal. Scores were cancelled for five exams: Chem, Env Sci, Lang & Comp, Calc AB, and US Hist… ):

^What even happened that caused the CB to do that?

@CantConcentrate: Some kid apparently stole a test from each of those subjects. We went ahead and took the tests for Chem, Env Sci, and Calc AB on the normal days, but US Hist and Lang & Comp were postponed to the late testing days. Bio was also postponed to a late testing day. AND THEEENNN, tests went missing even for the late testing days. So Bio, since it hadn’t been administered yet, was pushed even further to exception testing (which is why Bio was not in jeopardy, 'cause the AP people actually came in and delivered and administered the tests themselves)

@deekshaaaa: Wow… that really sucks. Really sorry about that guys.

Hmm, I have a few friends that go there. Sucks for them. What exactly are your options now?

A word of advice- when you start applying for colleges, get a letter of rec from your guidance counselor and have him/her specifically mention and explain this situation. You’ll get some ease in terms of how colleges may view how you have NO AP scores…

I am so sorry. But I’m sure CB will have some kind of remedy. I guess you have to study this summer, but it won’t be too bad, you’ll remember the information you’ve already learned, that is, if you studied accordingly.

HONORLIONS; agreed.

I’m really sorry :frowning: I took those 4 exams too, and I would never want to take them again (especially Chem). All I can say is, perhaps you can use this crisis as an opportunity for a unique college essay at least.

Good luck to you and everyone at Walnut high school that was screwed do to a few cheaters.

thanks for responding and advice, guys

apparently, CB’s “remedy” for this is giving us the privilege to retest on information that we studied 2 months ago, including the month of summer that mentally brainwashed us.

Guess we’ll just have to suck it up and deal with what we got

^ Laaaamme.

Unlesss someone from our school finds some kind of legal/administrative loophole to exploit…which I’m fine with too

When will you be able to retake the test? May of 2012, I presume, or earlier?
I would definitely try to get in contact with a school administrator who can effectively contact a lawyer who deals with this type of stuff. I don’t know what will happen, but at least you may be compensated for the fees of taking the exams.

I thought stolen exams were just and urgan legend.
