If I send in my AP scores to the college I will attend in the fall, will the scores be automatically converted into grades and added onto my college GPA?
I sent in my AP english score so I can get out of taking the english placement test, but I don't want it to become part of my GPA in the future.

Most colleges do not include AP credit or transfer credit from other colleges in college GPA, even if they give credit units or subject credit. Check the specific college if you are not sure.

Professional schools that you may apply to later may have different policies (e.g. calculating GPA from courses from all colleges ever attended, including dual enrollment courses taken while in high school).

You get credit for AP exams. They don’t factor into your GPA. What credit received is based on the university’s policy. There’s no reason to not accept the credit. You can still take a course even if you have a credit for it.
