Ap scores dissapointment

I didnt do as well as I hoped on any of my 3 ap tests this year. Other wise I have a high gpa of 3.96 and a weighted gpa of 4.3ish, got 4 & 5 on my ap tests last year, and have pretty good ECs and awards. (I haven’t taken the act yet). My question is will these 3 test scores hurt my chances at t20 schools a lot if I don’t report them and only the 4&5 (plus possibly better ap scores in the future)? I’m very worried

Don’t worry. Control the controllables. Top 20s only often take 5s. Just means you’ll retake classes in college.

Your rigor may need to be stronger for top 20. There’s a thousand great colleges out there. Maybe more. Don’t worry. If you were applying to reaches b4 u still can. This changes nothing.

You…and everyone…are unlikely for top 20s. A 4.3 tells me your rigor might be a tad off. Top 20 or not there are wonderful colleges out there for you.

They won’t hurt your admissions chances if you don’t report them. Just self report the 4 and 5 scores.

Whether you want/can use them for credit will be something you can work out after you have enrolled. You will send official scores at that time.

I think it depends on the grading system. My daughter had a 3.9, 4.2 weighted, with 9 AP’s and mostly the rest honors (the non honors were extra classes). She only had one B.

Colleges don’t admit based on AP scores because many students can’t take them. Only report the 4/5 scores.

I think rigor depends more on the offerings - if you take 3 APs and 4 are offered, you won’t be penalized. If you take 3 and 20 are offered, you will be.
